Avionic inspections — frequently asked questions

How often do avionic inspections have to be done?
Most instruments (altimeter, pitot-static, transponder, IFR) require periodic testing every 12 or 24 months depending on the unit and operation type. The recommended interval is shown in the product description.
Do I fly in, or do you come to me?
Both work. Fly in to our hangar in Kunovice (LKKU) and the airport landing fee is added to your invoice. Or we come to your airfield with the test equipment; travel is invoiced at 0.70 EUR per km, from Kunovice and back, excl. VAT. Choose the option in the order form.
What is included in the test price?
The test procedure in the scope shown on the product page, the test report and the release to service. Troubleshooting and repairs found during the test cost 90 EUR/hour excl. VAT and are done only after your approval.
Do you issue an EASA Form 1?
A unit we test on the bench comes with an EASA Form 1. A test on the aircraft ends with a release to service in your aircraft records.
How long does a test take?
Most tests take a few hours on the aircraft, so you usually fly home the same day. We confirm the date after you book.
