The EDM-730/830 transforms engine monitoring by merging a vibrant full-color LCD display with the widely acclaimed functionality of the EDM 700/800 series, all while boasting the most compact design in the industry. The EDM-730 offers a wealth of features and data on its expansive color screen, with larger characters for enhanced visibility. The entire EDM series now includes oil pressure monitoring. Its standard 3-4/8" format ensures easy installation, and its adaptable design supports both portrait and landscape orientations, fitting almost any panel layout. The device's depth is a mere 2-1/2" behind the panel. Furthermore, it seamlessly integrates with existing EDM-700/800 systems, ensuring "Plug and Play" compatibility.

The main difference between the EDM-730 and EDM-830 is the integration of manifold pressure and speed sensors into the 830. These additional sensors allow the EDM-830 to calculate a percentage of horsepower when paired with an outside air temperature probe.

The EDM 830 with fuel flow and a full GPS interface, allows powerful user programming flexibility. Designed to be used both vertical or horizontally, the rear processor is offset to give almost unlimited install choices, and a long list of user options. The Engine Data Management 830 system is the most advanced and accurate piston engine-monitoring instrument on the market. TSO’d for quality, the EDM 830 is not just another black box along for the ride. It is a Flight Engineer … a Maintenance Manager … a Backup Instrument. For the price there is nothing that gets close to it. You can alost think of the EDM 830 as your personal flight engineer. It’s always there, working in the background, constantly watching over your engine while you concentrate on flying the aircraft. You can make an entire flight without ever pushing a button, if you so choose. Yet your EDM will be monitoring your engine parameters three times a second and will warn you instantly if any parameter exceeds the programmed limit.

The advanced monitoring system comes equipped with 4 or 6 EGT and CHT probes. It seamlessly measures volts, shock cooling, and offers JPI's exclusive LOP/ROP leaning mode. The system provides insights on fuel flow, detailing used fuel, remaining fuel, and fuel consumption in GPH. It also calculates endurance and destination information using GPS data. Additionally, it showcases MAP, oil temperature, oil pressure, and OAT readings. One of its standout features is the %HP calculation, which utilizes data from OAT, RPM, MAP, and fuel flow. The package includes a power connector, all necessary harnesses, the EZTrends feature, and has a data recording capacity of 100 hours. This data can be effortlessly downloaded via USB to the included 1 GB memory stick. For user preference, the linear gauges' positions are selectable.
