The EDM900 Primary system replaces old steam gauges with the most advanced piston engine-monitoring instrument available. It can be installed vertically or horizontally with nearly unlimited options due to its offset rear processor. TSO’d as a PRIMARY instrument, the EDM900 acts as a Flight Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and Backup Instrument. It continuously monitors engine parameters, warning you instantly if limits are exceeded, allowing you to focus on flying. Linearized Accuracy

Accuracy and Resolution, are two of the most misunderstood terms in instrumentation. Because an instrument displays 1 degree increments (resolution) does not mean it is accurate to 1 degree. JPI’s accuracy comes from its linearized thermocouples. Other’ put and estimating straight line through the center of the thermocouple calibration “S” curve. With this method the instrument is accurate at only three points along as the the straight line crosses the “S” curve. Therefore errors of +/- 10′ are quite possible while still displaying in 1degree resolution. Our competition is advertising +/- 1/2′ accuracy at full scale. This would mean that =/-1/2′ of 2000′ (full scale) is +/- 10′; there is a big difference. JPI has found nothing in the Aviation market that compares to our linearized accuracy.

Monitoring Mods

The RPM Prop, MAP Manifold Pressure, and % HP ensure optimal engine performance, while the EGT and CHT monitor temperature metrics. Utilize the EGT Normalize mode and the exclusive JPI LOP/ROP Leaning Mode for enhanced efficiency. Monitor vital metrics such as oil temperature and pressure, fuel pressure, and outside air temperature. Stay informed with voltage readings, current amps (especially for twins), and fuel flow via the FlowScan transducer. Track fuel consumption with GPH, required fuel to destination, and used fuel stats. Calculate your flight's endurance in hours and minutes, and efficiency with miles per gallon. Additionally, safeguard your engine with shock cooling alerts for all cylinders and monitor the difference between EGTs.
